Replace a TIVO with ?

With TIVo on borrowed time, I need to find an alternative that 'just
works' with a good WAF.
I'm currently leaning toward a Humax Freesat PVR. With a longer term view
to implement mythtv backend and XBMC front ends.
Anyone have good / bad things to say about Humax, or able to offer
alternatives ?
