I sold my Tivo years ago - and have not had as good a TV experience
ever since. It's a real shame.

Personally though, this just highlights that media companies are *never* to
be treated with any sort of loyalty. Tivo obviously dumped the UK customers
years ago - *that* was the point to flip them the bird, and build up an
alternative, not now.

Unfortunately, far too many people displayed misplaced loyalty to this
company, and described it as 'stealing' guide data - rather than what it
was: ensuring that the device could be used without the support of Tivo.

At this point, they stopped selling the Tivo in 2003, it's now 2011. That's
not a bad run of extended support - had more people been a little more
mercenary about things, it wouldn't matter.
