Thanks for the update Andy

I am also looking to replace my Tivo now it has lost its suggestions.
I bought a Topfield a few weeks ago and while it is not a patch on
Tivo it is just about usable. I am still playing with various TAP
applications to get it to do what I want. I think the thing I miss
most at the moment is soft padding, there is a TAP to manually
extened a series recording but I can't get it to load just yet.

I want to avoid a PC based solution for a couple of reasons,
reliability and power consumption. I have an XP Media edition PC and
1st generation exteneder but the PC burns 140Watts 24x7 as the
extenders has no way of waking the PC. I guess I coud build a low
powered device and use Myth.

Please keep us posted on your investigations.

Regards
Ian
