If building a house would you use X-10?

I've been planning my retirement home for a while now and was thinking
that I'll have a unique opportunity of being able to install some things
that would be too much trouble in a completed house.  If you were in the
same boat would you use X-10 or maybe something else like home-run cabling
with centrally located relays/dimmers?  What do you see as pluses and
minuses (besides the cost of wire)?
