[OT] Online storage

Looking for personal recommendations of the many & varied FREE
online
storage facilities, - I.e. skydrive, Dropbox, X-drive, et al....

I'm currently playing with Windows live skydrive, primarily since I
already have a live account, so it was just there anyway waiting to be
used. - It's a bit of a PITA to upload my digital photo library to this
particular one though, since although I can use the enhanced upload tool
to upload multiple files at once, it doesn't allow uploading of folders,
so I have to pre-create each folder on the site before uploading the
files to it... - with a complex nested folder structure, this is fairly
tiresome!

So, Google shows a bewildering choice of such services, - but which to
choose? - anyone have a personal recommendation based on experience? I'm
looking for the following features:

1 - FREE
2 - Decent amount of storage, - say at least 25GB
3 - Ability to upload folder structures, not just files

Nice to have features would be: (especially if these are also free!)

4 - Integration with Windows explorer shell (appears as an extra local
drive for instance)
5 - Auto-synchronisation of folders to update changed content - although
if point 4 is available, I could script this myself

My primary use is as a secure offsite backup of my irreplaceable files,
so I don't particularly care about options for sharing the stored
content, streaming it, integrating it with MyFace/SpaceBook etc.

Cheers!

Paul G
