I may need to pick up another box at some point, - I modded my 2nd one

HDD upgrade, all content is on my media server... which is just as well, s=
ince I did actually start off trying to do the disk upgrade, but it
fragged=
on both of the disks I had available, - one was a 320GB Seagate, that *app=
eared* to have been created & locked correctly by xboxhdm, but just
didn't =
work when fitted in the box. The other had been used previously in one of
m=
y earlier failed modchip attempts, and is currently locked with seemingly
n=
o way to unlock it... - not that I've yet found anyway... :-(

However, my 3rd box may be on its way out I think...  - the DVD tray won't

open currently! - hopefully it's just stuck & I'll be able to free it
up, -=
failing that I could temporarily transplant a drive from one of the others=
just while I do the softmod... once its modded, I don't really care if the=
optical drive works or not...

I'll be demoing the whole thing to my parents & brother in law in a
couple =
of weeks, and I'm fairly sure that they'll want one too!

I picked up a 'boxed'(!!!!!) xbox 1 with two controllers and the dvd
remote dongle (just the dongle thats all i wanted) for =A329.99
including....wait for it....a years warranty!! lol I nearly cracked up
when the guy said here's your receipt its your warranty, i asked if he
was serious and he said yes! lol

That was gamestation and they had a few in, and a fair bit of xbox
stuff but you have to ask.

If it's wired controllers you're after then I can sort you out with
one, I have three already and two with this one so can pop one in the
post if you drop me your address offlist??

Is there much work involved to convert the controller cable to usb? I
used to have the opposite of that a usb to controller cable so i could
use the xbox controllers on the pc!  that mod sounds tempting so i
could use normal usb sticks instead of the xbox memory cards.  there's
a setup kindly on its way to me for loan so i can softmod this one but
def need to get my own setup!!

highly reccomend gamestation, worth a google see if there's one near you
