anyway =96 it removes the old mobo and graphics cards drivers out and gives
you a =91new=92 platform from which to eek out any new mobo troubles, if

are any.

If you have tons of applications then I can understand wanting to do this,
so give it a go. But the usual =91back up before you try=92 advice is, of
course, mandatory and if it does fail =96 start afresh anyway.

Just swapped a pentium 4 motherboard for a Asus P5E-VM without any
problems - has to repair my current installation, and it activated
fine over the web.

I've never done this "deliberately" - i.e. as a planned way to
upgrade a
critical machine, but I have done it numerous times
"accidentally" when
testing out old hard disks and so on.
