It's not that important. I have a 320GB as my primary drive and a range of
320GB-750GB drives in the storage pool.

I believe the reason is that data is copied to temporary space on the
primary drive before being moved to the storage pool. I think the
recommendation is so that it doesn't copy loads of data to the primary
drive
that it then can't move out to another disk.

It's never caused me any problem in the slightest, even when backing up
over
500GB of data from another machine.
