Re: Re: Remote Desktop --> Zoom Modem for CLI and Voice

The default (supplied) driver (.inf) file needs modifying for callerID
to
work properly - - I assume you've already found and applied these changes -
if not, let me know, and I'll try to dig them out - - it's a fairly subtle
change to the expected message format.

Are you using Cortex (and nothing else) to control the dial out/speech
synth/dtmf functionality?

I have no experience of Cortex (Yet!) - so if you're using something else -
custom component/app - please let me know - I'd be interested, and happy to
help if I can! - - - it could benefit both of us (and possibly others too!)

Obvious/Daft question - - if you plug a telephone handset into the socket
that's currently occupied by the modem - do you get a clean line, or is it
still noisy?

If it's clean, it suggests inteference "internally" - on the
modem. IIRC,
it's not particularly well screened, so locating it in a PCI slot as far
away from anything else may be beneficial.

Replies on-list if there is sufficient interest and nobody objects, or
off-list if you'd prefer - - I have no preference. Can always post a
summary
if/when we reach a conclusion!

Regards,

Rob
