Did a bit more investigation .. strangely the Zoom 3025C PCI modem I
have
does an excellent job of dialling out to my mobile and delivering a speech
synth message. Recognises DTMF from the phone etc. But I can't get it to
auto-answer and if I manually answer through Cortex I get a crackly hissy
line. The modem log does indicate the modem is returning some errors, so
there's obviously something up.

I would try another program, but Cortex seems to grab the modem, so will
have to be at a more convenient time for investigation. Either that or I've
got to become a TAPI expert.

Cheers

David
