Hmmm ... I'd disagree with this in that unless *ALL* the kit you are
using
is capable of passing through continuation of the shielding then the
shielding itself would be perfectly capable of providing a negative effect
on the stability and integrity of the system. Only use shielded when you
have a purpose for it and the ability to correctly terminate it.

I'm certainly not convinced of your "defiantly" statements (I'm
sure you
mean "definitely" but "defiantly" fits in this
situation) as live power
cables shouldn't cause issues (running network and power cables parallel
should be avoided whether using shielded or not as both are pretty much as
susceptible to locally induced mains hum) and shielding has no specific
advantage when implementing gigabit. (So to insist on using shielded for
those would be a defiant act I guess...)
