Re: Lost DVD drive



I had this in XP and the effect that I saw was that the DVD Drive
could read
DVD's fine but not data or music CD's - which worked fine once.
I has installed some software unbeknown to me which installed a new driver.
I bet he has installed something albeit not knowingly. Reinstall the driver
for the DVD drive.
There's a lot on the net about this - but for me now was some time ago.
