RE: X10 dimmer question

Peter,

Excellent, glad it all worked out for you :-)

I ordered a dual appliance module from them myself this weekend, so our
kitchen lights will at long last be X10 controllable.

See attached. Looks like just what I want. Hope others on the list might
be interested too. Nice way to have outside lights ramping on (increases
bulb life too!)
Many thanks for the lead. Now ordering on eBay.

Dear Peter ,

Thanks for your enquiry.
For one load lamp micro module , it will remember last dim level and
support soft on \ off.

For example :
Now you turn on the light on 50% then you switch off , the light will
dim from 50% to 0%
If you turn on again , it will dim up from 0% to 50%

If you have any question , please let me know.

Thanks

Peter.

The manual is available in PDF format ;

http://x10-hk.com/ebay/manual/2263E.pdf
<http://x10-hk.com/ebay/manual/2263E.pdf>

I haven't a clue what that first link in my previous message is ! It
wasn't there when I clicked send.

On the subject of "Soft Start".. err, your correct it doesn't
state that
does it...sorry, I'd just assumed that they ramped up like LD11's but I
suppose they might be more like the plugin modules that simply come on
at 100%. I guess you'd need to send the eBay seller a question.

Fingers crossed.

Marcus.

Many thanks for your responses on the above.
I can't get the links to work but have followed up the ebay one.
Looks interesting...it doesn't actually mention soft start anywhere but
you say it has soft start...must be in the first link!
Googling on x10^2 doesn't help!
This is really frustrating...so near yet so far!
Could you check the first link, do a tinyurl or just tell me where to
look?
Cheers
Peter

I think the X10^2 micro modules use "normal" latched switches
like the
AD10's and also have softstart.

These micro modules have their codes set electronically (not via dials
on the front like the LD11 and AD10 etc), so you will need an X10
transmitter like the MC10 to set them up
