Just out of interest I just shut down my "server" and
plugged all the
external drive housings (3 big 8 bay IDE to firewire enclosures + 2 single
drive IDE to firewire enclosures) and the Mac Mini into a stripblock fed
via
one of the Maplin power monitor things...

...fancy taking a guess on what the consumption of a Mac Mini plus 26
external hard discs is? (With all discs spinning and some hefty copying
going on to stress the system and force it to maximum consumption.)
