Re: [OT] Broadband Router Setup
Guys,
Thanks so much for your help with this.
A couple of days and still the solution is now clearer. It turns out that
desktop PC (LAN connected to the router) also occasionally cuts out which
makes me think the problem is to do with the internet settings and not
wireless as suggested.
I've contacted Orange and it appears all the settings were fine although
they have suggested I use alternative DNS settings which I will try.
I want to give each PC it's own internal IP address i.e.
192.168.0.1(router),
192.168.0.2....
and have done this through Network Connection settings. However, you can't
specify this without including DNS settings - I may try 192.168.0.1 as the
preferred DNS and see what happens.
The other point about Zone Alarm is very helpful - they have Norton on the
desktop PC and Zone Alarm on the laptop so I'll have a look at the settings
and see what can be sorted.
Thanks again for your help - very much appreciated
Mark
