Thanks Marcus (I do remember your nice dropped ceiling - :-) )

What's the advantage of using a consumer unit over "a bit of DIN rail
in a plain enclosure"? because I don't think you can make use of the
bus bars that would normally run underneath the MCBs if you use X10
modules, can you?

You get the sets of common terminals that you have at the top of your
enclosures, and probably easier access to change fuses/housecodes etc,
but is there anything else?
