Hmmm, wireless why? The electrictity cable comes into the house
feeding
lots of cables which go to every room in the house. Why not use the
existing cabling to a device that just plugs in or even displays on the
TV? Why add more RF polution to the environment to go along side DECT,
microwaves and the congested Wi-Fi band?

Total KWh usage is interesting but sub-metering surely is the way to go
because you can actually see what devices are you biggest power users.
