Have you ever used electronic scales.

You know, where you put any old jug on the scales and you can still weigh a
few
ounces (odd that's not decimal yet) of flour...

Doh!

Not saying that's what they'll do - it's just how I'd make it work if
someone
asked me.

And no it wouldn't work if the rest of the household were flicking switches
or
the immersion heater came on etc etc etc - but it would do the job...
