[OT] Stolen mobile phones

  • Subject: [OT] Stolen mobile phones

Apologies for the off topic post but I suspect some of you out there have
more knowledge on this than me and I couldn't find a definitive answer on
Google!

I bought a mobile of eBay. It was sent to me by Parceline - I know this
because I was able to track it through their consignment number. It was
never delivered to me and was returned to the original sender - apparently
because it was incompletely addressed. Anyway it never made it back to the
original sender either so after a couple of weeks of trying to locate it he
reported it missing (stolen).

The phone did then eventually turn up and he resent it. I now have it but
when I first tried it I could get No Service on it. When I gave my service
provider the phone's IMEI number they told me it was blacklisted. :-(

Now I'm having difficulty in getting the original seller to help me. I
thought only he as the registered owner can get it un-black listed. But
he's now not responding to emails.

Is there anything else I can do??

Malcolm
