RE: Which NAS Box?

Ben,
I just ordered a Lan Drive enclosure as shown part way down the page here -
<http://www.allcam.biz/products/lan_drive.html>
for =A342-98, as recommende=
d
here by Ian bird recently. Only drawback I could see was that it only
supports FAT and not NTFS.
Should arrive tomorrow along with a 320GB Seagate drive I ordered from
Komplett.

Regards
Stewart Berry

Subject: [ukha_d] Which NAS Box?

Hi All

I am looking for a NAS box to server a few machines around the house and I
have the following requirements.

1. I already have a 250Gb IDE Drive that I want to use. So the unit must be
bare and take IDE Drives 2. I would like it to support iTunes sharing.
3. Mac Compatible.
4. I am happy to do some hacking to install Linux if thats what I need.
5. I have no need for a full blown computer.

So any ideas on the best unit?

Regards
Ben
