The problem with LCD and Plasma screens is the image quality and
reaction speed.

We have just bought a Samsung LE32R41BD which is mesmerising
(spelling?) but I have put up a new High Gain freeview aerial to
counter some of the poor image quality issues.

The problem is that plasmas and lcds are actually so good that they do
show any minor imperfections in the signal, where as the old CRT
system is more tolerent (read less sharp) and therefore show less of
the imperfections that are there.

The other problem is the refresh rate, although screens now run about
8 milli seconds this is still slower than CRT's and fast moving
images, typically sports (football etc) can leave a momentary ghosting
image on the screen. We don't watch much sport so it doesn't both us.

DVD images are amazing and the samsung has a auto-brightness thingy
that adjusts the contrast depending on the brightness of the room and
it is HD ready!

Shop arround though, Dix-Cur-Comet's all have it a good =A3150 more
expencive than the web.

We got ours from Savastore (Watford Electronics) and collected it from
the Luton store.

Chris
