Thanks for the info on the external drive box, Phil

Have just got it up and running (currently attached to my server
2003 box)

As you said it is VERY quite, though i only have a couple of test
drives in there at the moment

No problems getting it up and running (other than not noticing the
power connector for the firewire boards weren't connected to the
power supply. DOH!)

Now i have to sort out the front end solution...

Does anyone know of a decent software DVD player (preferably windows
version) that can be controlled from my own software please? Am
currently playing around with wmp.dll (using windvd) but got a
couple of issues. Could really do with something like windvd i can
control directly though...
