Hi Dermot

If you are the Dermot I know then you're in NI. If so, you could try
Harpers
(in Belfast) and see what racks they have. I got a 6U rack of them a while
back and was shown the hinge back option for use if you want to wall mount
and be able to hinge the front part away to get access to the back. IIRC it
adds about 100mm onto the depth of the fitted unit.

Also have a look online at the Mills site -

http://www.millsltd.co.uk/productDetail.cfm?partNo=X06-7030
... the smallest free standing unit they do is 12U.

They also do a so-called specialist wall cabinet with removable side panels

I'm still trying to decide where exactly to place my Node 0 but I'm
certainly considering going rackmount with the new servers for it
(there's a neat rackmount case that takes *TWO* Mini-ITX boards I've
seen). Racking things would certainly be neater and be better for dust
protection and noise damping.

Let's Automate do some small 19" cabinets but these are designed for
wall mounting and looking at the pics don't seem to have any back on
them. Is there anywhere else that does standalone (floor-mount) racks
around about 6-14U in size at a reasonable price?
