Hi Wayne,
I have used a Hauppauge PVR card for this - it worked surprisingly well - I
did my parents' old Camcorder tapes of weddings etc. I recently
uninstalled the card to make way for a DVB-T card, so it is sitting about
at the moment - you are welcome to borrow it and try it out.
It is a Hauppauge PVR350 - Google for specs etc.
