Nice Pics :-)
You seem to have solved your relay noise problem but you might be
interested in an alternative solution. Solid-state relays appear to do
the same job, but with no moving parts. I've just started to find out
about them in the last few months, here's a thread I started on the
Automated Home Forums to try to find out more:

RS, Farnell etc. carry SSRs and the price seems to be similar to
conventional relays. Any further information most welcome though :-)
