VOIP with comfort and POTS

Hi,

I currently have an old analogue POTS switch and comfort and was looking to
replace the telephone switch with something a little more modern -
panasonic
tda for example. I was wondering if I had any more options that might
involve VOIP . Requirements are

1:  At least one telephone must always work - computer failing / internet
going down not an excuse.

2: Must not interfere with comfort which shares the main line.

Any ideas ?
