The xAP protocol of course is OS independent and the server (running on
Windows) would be able to fully interact with any xAP BSC based
application on any networked PC/device. Indeed the server  has no
differential between a local xAP app/device and a remote app/device.  So
all your dev work in xAP  could still be Linux based and you would
effectively have a touch screen server (and logic engine) . Actually the
logic/scheduler could be implemented anywhere on any OS choice but the
TS server would need Windows, as would clients.  Embedded xAP devices
like the Netiom (raw digital I/O and counters/latches, A/D) and the
C-Bus xAP bridge would be transparently supported  too.
