The reason for wide spacing for AP's with overlapping coverage is that the
channel spacing is less than the channel bandwidth.
In reality, only a spacing of 1/6/11 is guaranteed not to cause adjacent
channel
interference, although of course you need to be in the overlap area to get
problems.

Keith,
I've got a couple of Wap11's covering the house.
They are set to the same network name, but different channels. I'm using 3
and 6 - the reason for using these two is lost in the mists of time! They
have been working fine for the last couple of years.
