Tim & Keith,
To confirm the 3 channels which are non-overlapping (frequency wise) and
hence will be best for use in close proximity are 1, 6 and 11, however 12
&
13 can be substituted for 11 where equipment supports it - note that
although they are allowed to in the UK some Wireless NICs and APs do not
support the additional channels 12 & 13.
