Hmm, maybe this is why I'm having problems retrieving services. Both
Your script and my VB.net get an exception when asked to retrieve the
mediaRenderer AVTransport service info. This is quite a large xml page.
Can been seen in IE by browsing to
http://192.168.0.38:1400/xml/AVTransport1.xml
(change IP to your
zoneplayer)

With three lines commented out on the service info - Here is the output:
