Bear in mind that the maximum approved working length for DVI cables is
7.5m.

While longer cables may work, you're more dependant on the quality of the
cable _and_ the ability of the graphics card to drive the extra distance.

Take a look at Lindy's web site (www.lindy.co.uk) to see what they've got.
It might well be that the graphics card is the limiting factor, however.
