Except of course that there's no such thing as a hardware firewall.
At best you could describe them as firmware firewalls.

There are some limitations with 'hardware' firewalls, e.g. if you open
a port then it's open for all programs on all machines. Most software
firewalls will let you determine just which programs are allowed
access to a given port.
