Hi

Thanks Andy.

I checked and there wasn't a mpg123 file in the bin directory. I found
it in a directory called mpg123-0.59r (when I did a ls the file showed
up in green presumably meaning an exe?) . So using the link you provided
I found the CP command and copied it to the bin directory.

I must admit I have been struggling with the scripts all day now. I have
two machines each running xlite. I have tried many settings but they
will not register with the asterisk box. I have found some more info on
the net for xlite and asterisk but so far no luck. Does anyone have a
link to a site showing scripts that will just enable two xlite phones to
call each other? I have been using xlite for a few weeks and have an fwd
account and another pay account setup and working fine it seems its just
asterisk I'm struggling with.

Thanks

Ian D

"/usr/bin/mpg123". Well I have a

Ok, perhaps that was a mistake on my part.. the executable is called
mpg123 it's not a directory... so there should be a mpg123 in /usr/bin/

so just do:

ls -la /usr/bin/mpg123

whic will list the file and it's permissions, a simple directory listing
can be had with just

ls /usr/bin/mpg123

you may find this useful too:

this is the TOC for that book...

Redhat were a bit sneaky and used mpg321 and named it mpg123 which was a
PITA... unless you knew ...
