RE: Re: ADSL router + wireless

Lo Guys

All this talk of wireless has renewed my interest on the subject...
Could I have you opinions of the following please.
http://www.netgear.com/products/details/DG834G.php

<This 802.11g wireless router adds considerable power and flexibility to
your network. Five products in one, it combines an ADSL modem, router,
10/100 LAN switch, 802.11g access point, and SPI True Firewall. >

With it being a 5 in 1 kind of thing it would cut down on clutter in
Node 0

I've seen them for =A3105 somewhere, which seem to me to be a
"bargain"

Or am I missing something?

Absolutely.

When baby router manufacturers talk about VPNs, they actaully may=20
mean one of two things:

a) Their router offers VPN passthrough to some box inside your LAN=20
that erminates the VPN, or

b) Their router can terminate the VPN itself.

Option B (which the vigors do) is what you want.
