For interactive stuff I use Total Commander (once known as Windows
Commander, you can guess what happened), a Norton Commander clone
(for those of us that are very old...) and much much more, see

I tried BeyondCompare, as suggested to my by Mr Doxey to me a year
or so ago, but didnt find it had any advantages over Total Commander
