Hi Pedro,

Yep, that is what the nice man at Noritake in the UK told me. It even
supports the same 4 or 8 bit interface of the Hitachi 44780 driver on LCD's

I am going to use the one I mentioned to replace the non-backlit LCD on my
boiler monitor.

What is the advantage of a VFD being compatible with LCD? Does it mean that
I can use a program which was designed for use with LCDs and use a VFD
instead and the program won't know the difference?
