Hi Tony!<BR>
<BR>
I use Xbox Mediaplayer as dashboard. Works like a treat, the later
versions<BR>
includes ftp-server and of course games and stuff could be started from
it<BR>
as well - so for my use (primarily movies and pictures and some gaming)
the<BR>
mediaplayer is perfect..<BR>

Subject: [ukha_d] Xbox Mods/Dashboards<BR>
<BR>
I know some of you chaps have modded your xboxes, so perhaps you can
offer<BR>
some <BR>
advice:<BR>
<BR>
I just got the Xecuter2 Lite (Should have been pro, but finger slipped when
<BR>
ordering :-() and have installed it okay (I think, had to squint at solder
<BR>
points - anyone know where I can get a magnifying glass on a stand
kinda<BR>thing?)<BR>
<BR>
The xbox boots and shows &quot;Xectuter2&quot; instead of
&quot;Microsoft&quot;, so it seems my<BR>
hit <BR>
and miss soldering worked :)<BR>
<BR>
I presume the next step is to get evoX or some such dashboard on there
from<BR>
a <BR>
CD-RW or DVR-R/RW?&nbsp; <BR>
(Leaving aside the fact that all buring software hangs on my machine ATM
:-(<BR>
) <BR>
<BR>
What is the best dashboard to get and which version?&nbsp; There seems
to be a <BR>
million verions of evox/evolutionX (are they the same thing) and neXgen out
<BR>
there.<BR>
<BR>
The main reason for modding is to run xboxmediaplayer to stream audio and,
<BR>
maybe, video over the net (maybe I won't need that SLiMP3 after all...), so
<BR>
it's whatever works best with that....<BR>
<BR>
Also, are there any other &quot;cool&quot; uses of a hacked xbox
ppl are aware of?<BR>
<BR>
cheers,<BR>
<BR>
