Sorry for the late reply Neil (managed to place some of my 'need to reply
to' emails in with my 'keep for future reference' emails).

1)The boiler is a 'Potterton Flamingo 40'

2)No idea. The pump wire goes into the wall, there is a blank faceplate
which reads 'To isolate boiler, pump and controls switch "off"
the
connection unit at the boiler position'. Does that help?

As a group Newbie I only piked up this thread at the latest post.

If there is still an issue I would be glad to help out.

If so, I have a few quesitons:
1) is the boiler make/model known?
2) does the pump wire back to the boiler or does it have it's own
direct supply?

If pump run-on is used then the X10 module could still be used but
the boiler would require both a permanent supply direct from the fsu
and a separate switched(timeclock) supply from the X10 module so a
direct replacement of the fis would not work in this case.
