It sounds from your description that there will not be pump over-run. I
could not find any info on your boiler though, it's not one that I have on
file, and Potterton's web site on deals with current boiler ranges so no
luck there either. I don't think you will have any problems proceeding with
your plans, but if it's a belt-and-braces approach you prefer then try
switching your programmer on and off while paying close attention to the
pump. If the pump and boiler both stop when the programmer (not the FSU) is
switched off then there is no over-run and you can go straight ahead and
ad=
d
the module for control as you intended. If only the boiler stops when the
programmer switches off and the pump continues then that is pump over-run
i=
n
action which means you will definitely need to rewire the boiler/pump
circuit to retain this feature after adding the X-10 module.

Neil.

Sorry for the late reply Neil (managed to place some of my 'need to reply
to' emails in with my 'keep for future reference' emails).

1)The boiler is a 'Potterton Flamingo 40'

2)No idea. The pump wire goes into the wall, there is a blank faceplate
which reads 'To isolate boiler, pump and controls switch "off"
the
connection unit at the boiler position'. Does that help?

Cheers,
Dave

As a group Newbie I only piked up this thread at the latest post.

If there is still an issue I would be glad to help out.

If so, I have a few quesitons:
1) is the boiler make/model known?
2) does the pump wire back to the boiler or does it have it's own direct
supply?

If pump run-on is used then the X10 module could still be used but the
boiler would require both a permanent supply direct from the fsu and a
separate switched(timeclock) supply from the X10 module so a direct
replacement of the fis would not work in this case.

Regards

Neil
