Anyone looking at wireless should take a long hard look at the Apple
Airport Extreme Base Stations. They are great little units (stylish -
goes without saying!!!). At least one of the models has an external
antenna socket (maybe both). They also support something called
Wireless Distribution System (WDS) which lets up to 4 airports
communicate wirelessly with the Base Station and extend the wireless
network.
Despite comments I have read elsewhere you CAN configure these little
beauties from Windows (there is a download on apples site).
Ideal solution for anyone on Cable or wanting to extend an existing ADSL
router.
