[OT] Microsoft Action pack ... Insane

Sorry for posting this folks but Microsoft are driving me insane... 


Having gone through the ordering process I am now playing email ping
pong
with them.

First of all I had to explain why my address looked like it was in
Holland...

I said because I am in Holland, that's where I live.

Then they wanted to know why I had emailed them from a .it address in
Italy..

I explained the nature of the internet allowed non residents of italy to
register .it domains, and if they read my email address without the @ and .
it say "andy automated it" and if they looked at my website it
would make perfect sense. It did not mean I was in Italy, in fact they
could see who the domain was registerd to, and the address if they actually
knew what they were doing.

Next I got a message saying that did I have a VAT number and if so could I
tell them what is was, otherwise they would need to charge the VAT...

I replied saying I don't have a VAT number, charge me the VAT...

I've just got a message this morning...

"As your VAT ID is missing we cannot process your order.
Without your correct VAT ID, we are required to charge you VAT at 16%. We
therefore kindly ask you to provide us with your correct VAT ID."

Are they deliberately trying to make me go postal?

I'm just about to reply in total rant mode....
