Re: Lighting
Hi Amar
If you have wired each light ( or group) back to your consumer unit
location
you can decide later which way to go ..............
Not sure what sort of switching requirements for x10 stuff though.........
eg cat5 ot twin active..............low voltage or 240v????
With 3 groups of lights (c_bus) only 1 cat5 required you can daisy chain
additional switches of existing single cat5 if needed..........The
switches
come in 1 2 or 4 gang ......
Today i installed some C_Bus stuff here at home and its fantastic and easy
to program..........Not sure about UK prices but an 8 channel dimmer (1A
each) cost me approx $750.00 (+ vat) were 8 ld11,s would have cost me
$880.00..
Hopefully Rob Mouser or Kevin Hawkins can give you more details...........

back to the mains - that means we will end up with around 16 lighting
circuits upstairs (dependent on final wiring) and 4 mains circuits
upstairs,
and a little more downstairs.

but I
understand that this method of wiring will mean I dont have to decied until
after first fix stage - is that correct?

do
you run 1 cat5 cable next to the switch or 3 runs?
