Looks a well priced starter kit but it is rather limited in the devices

it can handle (14 pins max) =96 if you need a bit more I/O on a PIC chip eg
for controlling devices , serial I/O etc then you may be better getting a
more capable programmer to start with. As a learn PIC introduction it seems
reasonable though.=20
