Re: Re: [OT] Massive spam increase recently?
Spam is an increasing problem.
One of the biggest problem being the publication of e-mail addresses on
the web, and very often unintentional.
To highlight the problem, a simple search using google for
graham@xxxxxxx will give you an idea of where you e-mail address
can be obtained from. Also "unsbuscribing" from spam is one of
the worst
things you can do, it just confirms that the e-mail is indeed active.
I thought however that I'd share the following html with you
<TR><TD>Stuart Poulton</TD>
<td>Computing Staff</td>
<TD align=right><A
href="mailto:Stuart.Poulton.spam@xxxxxxx">Stuart.Poulton</A></TD>
<TD Align=left>@astro.le.ac.uk</TD>
<TD align=right>0116 223 1016</TD>
</tr>
The reason for the .spam e-mail is that this automatically add's +2
within the mailserver spam filter that I run, the use of 2 table cells
effectively breaks the e-mail address, it does however remain 100%
readable.
Cheers
Stuart
