Short version, from my Trading Standards spat with Dabs...

If the retailer's Ts and Cs state up front that you are responsible for
return shipping, then you are responsible for return shipping. The only
time
you can contest this is if it's not clearly stated within the published
Ts
and Cs.

As I recall, ebuyer mandate that you must use a courier service rather
than
Royal Mail, but they are significantly better than scam or dabs at
handling
returns in a fair manner.

Of the various e-tailers who have screwed us over in the last year or
so,
ebuyer are probably the best of the bunch, and come up good most often.

Personally, I would be less inclined to piss them off by getting
stroppy.
