Tony,

An additional word of warning..... Pocket PC backups are temperamental
as all feck... if you have a particular ROM revision, and they update
you to a different one, the backup wont be compatible. The other catchy
outy bit is regional settings..... (Start/Settings/System/Regional
Settings) - You've probably changed it to UK, but when they re-flash it
it'll default to US. For some bizarre reason, unless you change it back
to UK it will report that the backup is not compatible with this sort of
device.....!

Safest thing to do is get a sync backup into Outlook (and backup your
PST!), and single file backup of each of your files... at least you
definetley have a readable copy of your data, and worst case you can
just do the sync back of pretty much everything if the backup refuses to
load.

The company I work for was trying to get a contract to repair iPAQs but
doesn't look like anything is on the immediate horizon.... :S
