Okay thanks.  I'll do that.
Looking more closely, now I've recovered, I still can't see any physical
damage on the screen - and if I try flexing the body of the ipaq, the dodgy
bits change - some obscured bits reappear, some okay bits get didgy - maybe
there is some dry joints somewhere or a crack in the PCB.  The ipaq was in
it's hard plastic casing, so I was surprised the screen went funny at
all....

Not _too_ bad I guess.

Damn, knew you'd say that.   There are a couple of sync issues I need to
resolve - the old updating files on the iPaq and on the PC trick :(
