Tony
We have used a company in Croydon for networking bits in the past -
Contec Tel 0800 281015 they might have one, they have always been very
helpful and might know someone in the area that sells them.

I've had a look in a catalogue from wadsworth.co.uk 020 8268 7000, they
sell brushed stainless steel faceplates @ =A319.60 part number 6205010
erm.... one gang though sh*t.

Yes I _could_ do Mark, but after my most recent 'experience' with
the Croydon lot, I'd rather sit in a bath of acid and hammer nails
into my head :-)

It _should_ be simple:
The _did_ do RPP CAT5 sockets - and indeed their whole range IIRC
about 2-3 years ago.
The face plates are not even CAT5 specific - they're even used for
lowly RF and electrical sockets.
Croydon _is_ a fairly large store
They _should_ have people who work there who know what they are
talking about.
They _should_ have people there who, if they don't know what they
are talking about, are willing to find someone who does.
Hell, it should be the norm rather than a great surprise to actually
_find_ a member of staff, regardless of any knowledge they may or
may not possess.

I'm sorry to say that I have _never_ had a satisfactory experience
in B&Q if I have had to attempt to find and then deal with a member of staff - I can only be reasonably assured of a satisfactory trip
if I know exactly what I want, where it is in the store, and it is
in fact in stock.

It's a sad fact that the other DIY type places in Croydon simply
don't have the range of goods B&Q carry, so one is forced to go
there regardless :(

No doubt your local one is different Mark :)
Maybe it's just the Croydonites who are shite and not B&Q employees per se :]
