RE: Freezer Alarm
What you could get away with then, although not pretty, is to use some
short self-tappers into the outer skin of the door at the opening side
and the bit of the outer cabinet that meets it with brackets to mount a
microswitch. You can get away with this, but make sure that the
self-tapping screws cannot pierce the inner wall of the fridge or
freezer and, for good measure, I would be inclined to out nylon or
rubber washers under the screw heads just to tray and stop and moisture
getting into the insulation.
