    As promised Mr Tonks delivered a brand new Tivo unit to me today and collected the faulty one. So I too can add my recommendation on his service and support. My problems with contacting him seem to be caused by a phone problem at his end, I see this has been raised by another customer on the Tivo BBS but he responded as soon as he received my email.

    Mr Tonks has been in touch with me (by email) and all appears well. He thinks he may have a problem with his phone which would tie in with what I experienced. Anyway he has arranged to collect and swap out my faulty unit so I too must say now that the service I am receiving >from

    Have been trying to get in touch with Mr Tonks for a few days now re the Tivos I bought as one has gone faulty. Anyone else having problems contacting him ? His number is constantly busy and if you use ring back and eventually get through then it rings and rings and is eventually cut off, sometimes after only a few rings.....No response to today's email either although I have not in fairness given him much time as yet.
 
    Also the Tivo support line were not helpful in offering to fix the unit once they heard it had come >from directly..Surprised re this as the other feedback on this forum has been good. I'll have a try of the Tivo BBS as well.
